Sayonara, Gabe

Gabe's in Utah now, looking for work, and getting ready to attend the University of Utah in the fall.  He's excited to get a degree through their college of Entertainment Arts & Engineering (Video Game Design!).  We took a road trip to deliver him, and stayed for a week. We had a lot of fun boating, swimming, sunning, eating, playing games.

Now Gabe is in Utah.  We are back in Washington.  His room is cleaned out and Sam is very happy to have the whole thing to himself.  It's only been a few days, but I miss Gabe!

Boy Scout High Adventure

Depart -- Excited to get started!

 The hike was a 1700 ft elevation gain, and was 10 miles RT.

Tacoma Community College Graduation!

Because Gabe did the Running Start program - he was able to complete high school and an Associates Degree at the same time!

This graduation was held at the convention center downtown.  After Gabe's all night grad party, he didn't get to sleep at all before his next graduation!

After the ceremony, Gabe went to the all night grad party -- just boarded a bus and we didn't see him until 7a the next morning!

Senior Pictures!

Gabe will be graduating soon, and that means Senior photos!  The picture for his yearbook was due in December, so I took this photo in the backyard (he still had braces on then).

Tonight Carly and I took Gabe to Sunnyside Beach and Chambers Bay Meadow to get some Senior pics.  She was a great photography assistant!

I can't believe my first-born is almost graduated from High School!  Awwwwwwwww!

Mod Prom

Yes, we bribed him, but Gabe decided to go to the LDS Modest Prom.  He and a few friends went STAG.

Since the theme of the dinner/dance was "A Journey to Paradise", Gabe went with bright orange colors. 

His last Mod Prom.  Wow.  The time is flying by.  Soon he'll be gone to college.
